Matthew Hammer was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas.
He received a bachelor of science in animal science from Tarleton State University in December 2016. He received a doctorate of veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University in May of 2024.
Matthew has worked in emergency small animal hospitals for about 3 years before and during vet school.
He’s been married to his wife, Katie, since 2019. He has a golden retriever mix named Athena, a Welsh pembroke corgi named Blaine and a domestic shorthair named Minerva. Matthew enjoys hunting, fishing and being out in nature.
